The Standard Sub Zero Uniform should include ALL of the following:

Winter Employee Uniform Standard

Winter time can lead to cooler temperatures inside the store and for the employees, especially as they work with Nitrogen. Employees might want to add clothing and layers to stay warm. We need to do this in a safe and consistent manner across the Sub Zero brand.

Winter Uniform Adaptations:

  • Long sleeve shirts can be worn under the Sub Zero uniform shirts.

  • Ensure that the long sleeve shirts are clean.

  • Make sure that the long sleeve shirt coordinates with the standard uniform shirt.

  • Coordinating colors: Black, grey, white, dark blue, light blue, navy blue, or Sub Zero red

  • Do not wear a long sleeve shirt over the standard uniform shirt.

  • The apron and hat/visor are still needed and a required part of the uniform.

  • Loose fitting long sleeves are not safe, make sure that they are pulled up off the wrist and tight around the forearm.

Avoid These Adaptations:

  • Employees cannot wear coats or sweaters over their uniform shirt or apron.

  • Beanies and winter hats are not part of the uniform.

    • Santa hats that are washed and part of the uniform would be acceptable, if that is your store’s uniform during the Christmas season.
