NEW Italian Ice Recipe (Modified June 2020)
Italian
Ice Base (Simple Syrup):
Combine in airtight container to
be used for storage
- Mix
3 parts water with 1 part sugar (i.e. if you use 6 cups of water you will
mix it with 2 cups of sugar)
- Add 2 tsp of salt to each 1 gal of prepared simple
syrup (The salt helps bring the flavors out and balances the sweet taste
on the tongue.)
- Stir or whisk until all the sugar and salt are
dissolved
- Store in airtight container
- Label and date storage container
