DoorDash Deal for Sub Zero Stores
Many franchisees are already a part of DoorDash, but if you are not, we wanted to repeat the information and contact for Sub Zero stores to sign up. Sub Zero currently has a negotiated deal with DoorDash to charge 20% pre-tax for their “Promotion Fee”, which covers all costs of advertising on their app and pickup and delivery to customer. You set the price for your DoorDash items, so you can add the fee to the orders. At our store, we only offer large sizes and Sensations, and add 20% to our regular pricing to cover the fee. DoorDash provides the tablet to receive orders free of charge, so there is no upfront charge to add this to your store. If you are interested in setting this up in your stores, contact Zach Fuller at zfuller@doordash.com.
We know some store locations are using other food delivery services, such as UberEats and GrubHub, and different delivery services will be more or less popular in different areas as they grow and market. These services can be an extra layer of advertising and add another way to sell to customers in your market. We will continue to talk with other companies about partnering with them. Postmates has reached out to us about a partnership and we are analyzing their offering. Their offered commission fee is 25% on initial discussions, and we are starting the conversation with them.
